September 11, 2001. A day which is etched in my mind, and the mind of Americans forever.

Sitting in my office, discussing the days work with my team, a plane went by and our windows shook. Immediately we heard a scream from the South end of the building. We ran to the window and saw that the North Tower had been hit by a plane. We could see the holes in the tower. at this time we had no idea that it was a terrorist attack. When the second plane crashed into the South Tower we again went to the window, and saw the flames and holes in the South Tower. When the tower collapsed we were still in our building and as the light blinked and the building shook, we evacuated. We were 6 to 8 blocks away on Greenwich Street, when we turned and saw the North Tower collapse. The collapse was surreal, it seemed that time stopped the Tower went down slowly, we all began to weep. We knew that the collapse of the Towers was devastating, yet, didn't realize the full extent of the tragedy, thank God.

Throughout the day, as we walked away from the area, we met people who had also escaped and those who didn't make it to work for one reason or another. Everyone was praising God for their deliverance and praying for those who perished and their loved ones. NO one questioned God that day, all were praising Him.

Eventually someone asked the question, "Where was God on 9/11/01?" He was working to evacuate as many as He could, remember the North Tower was the first hit and the last to come down. He was busy making sure many were late that day. He was making sure that the buildings collapsed on themselves and didn't fall on other buildings. He was helping those in the surrounding buildings evacuate. He was listening to the prayers of those who were about to die, and forgiving and saving them. He was doing all these things, even before He was asked to.

Where was God? He was the same place that He was Nisan 14/15 in the year 31 ACE, when His Son died on the cross. He was right there in the middle of everything saving the world. One thing I would like to comment on is the question should have been "where was the devil?" He is the author of sin and death and not God. He is the one who should bear the responsibility. He is the one who possessed the pilots and terrorists in this demonic act.

I look forward to the day when Jesus comes and we can go home with Him for the great reunion and see the devil, his evil angels, sin and death be destroyed and be no more.
